Wren was created in the wake of the loss of Mother Brain as an attendant for Zelan, the giant space station which was given Mother Brain's responsibilities after the Daughter project failed. Wren spent the first millennium of his life isolated on the satellite Zelan, monitoring the various climate control systems of Algo. In AW 2284 he joined Chaz Ashley and his friends on their quest to destroy the Profound Darkness. Their mission was a success, largely due to Wren's help. After the victory, Wren, along with his companion Demi, continued to work to improve the lives of all Algoians. Wren reintroduced high science and technology to Algo, but slowly, at a pace the people could handle. His work continues and will most likely not be finished for many more years to come. Wren feels only basic emotions, meaning that he often comes across as cold when in reality he is simply trying to be straightforward and logical.
